The 2nd Generation Daihatsu Charade was introduced in 1983. The 2nd Generation Charade is a front engine front wheel drive hatchback. Daihatsu Charade 2nd Generation was available in 2 different body styles 3-door hatchback and 5-door hatchback. Production of the 2nd Generation Daihatsu Charade lasted for 5 years and Daihatsu halted the production in 1987 with the arrival of the new generation. The Japanese Manufacturer considers the Charade to be a “Large Compact” car in an attempt to differentiate it from other cars in Daihatsu lineup such as the Daihatsu Mira.The price of the 2nd Generation Daihatsu Charade was competitive when compared with other cars in the same class.

The 2nd Generation Daihatsu Charade features a fairly boxy eighties design language. The front end houses trapezium headlights and a rectangular air intake.
