Honda City (5th Generation) was launched on 31st January 2009 by Atlas Honda Cars Pakistan. The Honda City 5th Generation is a front engine front wheel drive subcompact sedan with outstanding features and specifications. The Honda City featured a brand new and more aggressive model design language compared to the previous City as well as new engines and interior panels, Honda Atlas launched a new 1.5 L engine in 2013, and then in 2014, it received a facelift in October which included a series of minor cosmetic changes. Then, again in 2017, it received another facelift in which an immobilizer and few cosmetic changes were introduced. Honda City 5th Generation was available in 2 different categories: the Honda City i-VTEC and the Honda City Aspire.

The Honda City 5th Generation exterior features a unique and distinctive design language. The front end houses sleek narrow trapezium styled side swept headlights, an angular grille and dual air intakes. The rear end houses the trapezium-styled side swept headlights, a chrome trim piece running the length of the trunk lid and a large rear bumper. The facelifted versions of the feature a chrome angular grille at the front and a new set of taillights with rectangular inserts and a new larger rear bumper. The overall Honda City 5th Generation exterior stands out amongst its rivals, especially in the local market.

Honda City 5th Generation interior compromises of black and silver plastic trim pieces before the facelift now it comes in beige color. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the standard variant include air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power lock doors, 2-speaker stereo audio system, power windows, trip computer, cup holders and a tachometer. Features on the higher end Aspire variant includes alloy wheels, Satellite navigation as standard and front fog lights. Options include leather upholstery, satellite navigation and a 4-speaker stereo audio system. The overall Honda City 5th Generation offers a good level of comfort and noise insulation.
