The Suzuki Cultus was introduced into Pakistan by PakSuzuki Motors in 2000. The 1st Generation Suzuki Cultus is a front engine front wheel drive hatchback. The car was originally introduced at the 25th Tokyo Motor Show in 1983 and it was marketed around the world as the “Suzuki Swift” at that time.The 1st Generation Cultus was available in 3 variants VX, VXR and VXL. Production of the Suzuki Cultus 1st Generation lasted for 8 years and the new generation arrived in the mid of 2007.  The price of the Suzuki Cultus 1st Generation is fairly competitive when compared to other models in the same class available in the local market.

The 1st Generation Suzuki Cultus features unique styling for a hatchback. The front fascia features curved headlights placed between a small trapezium shaped grille that has a chrome strip running its length. The rear end features a traditional hatchback with long rectangular shaped taillights. The Suzuki Cultus overall features a very curved exterior design with the cars body panels expanding outwards and curving inwards from the roof downwards. On the higher end VXR variant, the car comes equipped body color matching bumpers and on the VXL you get alloy wheels. The overall exterior of 1st Generation Suzuki Cultus features fairly unique styling that allows it to differentiate itself from its rivals.

The interior of the 1st Generation Suzuki Cultus has dark tone plastic trim pieces accented by silver-colored plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats come covered in black fabric while partial fabric material is used for the door trim. Standard features include a stereo speaker system with CD and AUX input. While features on the higher end VXR and VXL variants include air conditioning. The overall interior of the Suzuki Cultus features a decent level of space in the front but a lack of interior space in the rear for a hatchback of its exterior dimensions.
